#Job – Boilermaker – Shovel Shutdown Rio Tinto Coal & Allied Hunter Valley

Rio Tinto Coal & Allied is looking for experienced Shutdown Boilermakers for work their Hunter Valley mine site, as part of Electric Shovel Shutdown.

The successful applicant will have preferred experience with mobile mining equipment including draglines, shovels & excavators.

Experience in a shutdown mining environment is highly advantageous. Welding codes are preferable, and all work must be performed to x-ray standard. Independently judged Weld Tests must be attended and completed successfully prior to commencement of the role.

You must have a strong focus on safety in the work place, and you will have the following tickets or be will to obtain them:
* Certificate of Proficiency or TAFE Qualification and Craft Certificate or Certificate III in Engineering- Fabrication
* Current Confined Space
* Working at Heights
* Respiratory Fit Testing (arranged by WorkPac)
* Drivers License

Living Away from Allowance (LAHA) is able to be applied for by candidates relocating to the area for the duration of the shutdown. This must be specifically approved on a case by case basis, and evidence of accommodation expenses or a statutory declaration must be supplied to be eligible for the payments.
