An opportunity exists for a motivated, safety driven leader with relevant qualifications and experience to join the LakeCoal team in a challenging and varied role based at Chain Valley Colliery in the Newcastle / Lake Macquarie area.

Reporting directly to the Mechanical Engineering Managerand working directly with LakeCoal management team, you will undertake, coordinate and manage all aspects of SAFETY and mining operations to compliment  the management team at LakeCoal,

In addition you will have the ability to work as a key leader and role model and be able to communicate concisely.  As a key member of the management team you must accept accountability and responsibility of executing the daily plan and drive outcomes. You will demonstrate a flexible approach and maintain performance under pressure.

The successful candidate MUST have:

  • Safety Driven attitude
  • Proven Leadership ability
  • Supervisory experience in a similar role
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in underground coal industry
  • Mechanical trade qualification
  • Post trade qualifications

You will have the opportunity to drive long term outcomes in LakeCoal’s expanding business.
