Future Of LNG Discussed In Toowoomba

With the price of LNG taking a nosedive in recent months, market analysts, Deloitte, will host an information evening in Toowoomba tonight to discuss what it will mean for the Surat Basin’s gas industry.

Geoffrey Cann from Deloitte will be special guest speaker at the event being planned by the Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise.

Mr Cann will discuss the “current state of global energy markets, the likely recovery, and implications for Queensland’s emerging LNG export sector.”

Mr Cann has over twenty-four years of management consulting experience gained through engagements with leading oil and gas companies in Canada, Australia, the United States, South Korea, Hong Kong, China, Japan and the Caribbean. He has worked for most of Queensland’s Liquefied Natural Gas projects and some of their key suppliers.

The event is being held from 5.30pm on Tuesday 24 March at the Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport. Cost of entry is $30 for TSBE members and $50 for non-members.

For more information visit the Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise website.
