WORKPAC are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to support operations by providing technical expertise and support in the areas of maintenance, reliability, engineering, field execution/supervision and projects as required.

Located in the central Pilbara, west of Karijini National Park, Tom Price is our original Pilbara mine, offering comfortable residential living. It is known as one of the most attractive towns in the Pilbara with good facilities such as a high school, hospital and high quality recreation facilities.

What the role entails

This role is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual with technical expertise to make a difference in the Tom Price Fixed Plant. Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Shutdowns, you will be:
o    Responding and provide technical assistance to maintainers in regards to mechanical equipment problems
o    Performing root cause analysis and defect eliminations to improve the reliability of the area’s equipment
o    Managing maintenance improvement projects performed internally
o    Representing the Tom Price Fixed Plant for projects performed by engineering group
o    Identifying initiatives to improve efficiency, sustainability and safety

What you will need for this role

To succeed in this role, you will have:

o    Manual C Class Drivers licence
o    Mechanical or electrical engineering degree
o    Demonstrated experience in maintenance roles within a Fixed Plant environment
o    Work cooperatively in small team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptation
o    Experience in Defect Elimination processes and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Troubleshooting
o    Demonstrated knowledge of SAP or equivalent and Microsoft Office

It will also be beneficial if you have:

o    Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives/projects
o    Proven success in a bulk materials handling environment
