A national mineral producer bought a mining operation in Outback Queensland and promised change.
AIC Mines recently acquired FMR Investments’ Eloise mine in Mckinlay, 194km east of Mount Isa.
The bidder confirmed it already has full control of the operation. QMEB can reveal the deal was worth $27 million.
“AIC recently acquired 100 per cent ownership of the Eloise Copper Mine near Cloncurry, Queensland. Eloise is an underground copper mine with conventional crushing and floatation that makes a high-quality copper concentrate. This compliments our portfolio of copper and gold exploration projects,” it said on the Seek website.
The new management introduced an even time roster for fly-in fly-out (FIFO) workers and advertised multiple full time, FIFO and underground truck operator vacancies.
