Tender awarded for multiple metal projects

A mining services provider has won a new contract for several metal developments across Western Australia.

Babylon Pump and Power recently expanded its power generation and dewatering services contract with BHP Nickel West Australia across the state’s northern gold fields area.

The agreement extends the existing tender by another three years ending on 31 January 2023. The contractor has carried out dewatering work for the proponent since October 2018.

BHP is recruiting for the following fly-in fly-out positions:

  • dump truck operators (multiple positions)
  • ancillary operators (multiple)
  • shovel operators (multiple)
  • field improvement specialist
  • warehouse officer
  • warehouse supervisor
  • electrical projects delivery
  • underground mobile maintenance team leader (leading hand)
  • open pit geologist
  • mobile maintenance technician – heavy duty diesel fitter.
