A recruitment company is offering lucrative wages, travel reimbursements and bonuses to mine employees who want to work in remote Australia.

Higher Solution Specialists Recruitment is paying fly-in fly-out (FIFO) mine workers up to $17,000 for only 28 days on-the-job. QMEB understands this equates to about $607 for each day worked.

Eighty FIFO job seekers are wanted for a shutdown maintenance operation in Western Australia. Successful applicants are promised up to $700 in travel reimbursements and plus extra bonuses for racking-up lots of work hours.

‘Top rates’ promised

“We work with companies paying top rates to attract the best workers … [and offer] continuous work – pack out your diary ’til August,” the company said on the SEEK website. “We can assist with inductions for Rio Tinto, Fortescue Metals Group, BHP, Roy Hill and a lot more.”

The following positions are available:

  • boilermakers
  • riggers
  • fitters.

Hard work rewarded

The bonus structure offers an extra:

  • $1.50 an hour for 375 hours worked
  • $2 an hour for 500 hours worked
  • $2.50 an hour for 625 hours worked.
