$2000 bonuses offered to FIFO workers hired, retained at Central Qld coal mine

Remote employees will regularly receive thousands of dollars for joining and staying at a coal project in Queensland’s Central Highlands region.

A subsidiary of Swire Mining Logistics Industrial will pay every new fly-in fly-out (FIFO) recruit $2000, and an extra $2000 retention bonus for those who remain at Bowen Coking Coal’s Bluff Coal Project – 175km west of Rockhampton.

HSE Mining has advertised the following permanent, full-time FIFO job vacancies:

  • EX2500 and R996 excavator operators (multiple positions)
  • Cat 785 and 793 haul truck operators (multiple)
  • Cat 777 or 773 water cart operators (multiple)
  • Cat D10 and D11 dozer operators (multiple)
  • 16M grader operators (multiple)
  • 844 wheel dozers (multiple).

Click here to apply. Successful candidates will be offered even-time and rotating rosters of 12.5 hour shifts for seven days on seven days off, accommodation, camp meals, salary sacrificed flights and promotion opportunities.

“Looking for long term, stable and safe employment in the mining industry? Then apply here. HSE are gearing up for the long-term operations at Bluff Coal Project which is ‘under new management,'” HSE said on the Seek website.

“With the majority of the fleet on site, the project will be back in full operation by April [2022] – do not miss your chance.”
