Applications for QGC Communities Fund Now Open

QGC is offering grants of up to $50,000 to community groups wanting to run short-term projects that will enhance living in Queensland’s gasfields and LNG regions.

Not-for-profit organisations in the Western Downs and Gladstone Regional Council areas are being encouraged to apply for the opening round of the QGC’s Communities Fund.

Grants between $10,001 and $50,000 will be available for projects such as training programs for employees and volunteers, new facilities and equipment to support education in science, technology, engineering and maths, improvements to buildings or resources, events and festivals.

Grant applications are now open and will close on 31 March.

QGC ‘s Vice President External Affairs and Sustainability, Joanne Pafumi, said the QGC Communities Fund is part of a voluntary social investment program.

“In 2014, we supported more than 150 organisations with grants, sponsorships or donations which have brought real benefits to our communities,” Ms Pafumi said.

“We look forward to receiving new applications under the Fund in 2015.”

An application form and guidelines can be downloaded from the QGC Communities Fund page of the website www.qgc.com.au.
