A new coal operation wants to hear from remote applicants who are keen to do autonomous work in Queensland’s Isaac region.
Multiple automated operator positions were recently available at Pembroke Resources’ $1 billion Olive Downs Coking Coal Project, 40km southeast of Moranbah.
The following permanent full-time vacancies were advertised:
- autonomous haulage system builders and controllers (multiple positions)
- autonomous pit technicians/field builders (multiple)
- autonomous drill system controllers (multiple)
- autonomous technicians/specialists (multiple)
- mine control superintendent
- mine control supervisor.
Click here to apply. Successful candidates will be offered a day- and night-shift roster of either eight on six off or seven on seven off. “Genuine” fly-in fly-out and drive-in drive-out options and discounted Medibank health insurance, travel and retail shopping are available.
“We have multiple opportunities in the autonomous haulage system (AHS) team and are seeking applicants … to join a dynamic team at the forefront of new innovative technology,” Thiess said on the Seek website.
“[We are] due to commence mining operations in early 2023.”
