Easy access drilling to remote areas

Mac drilling is a company of experienced drillers that got together around 2 years ago. The sole director of the company is Mark Crowson who has been in the drilling industry for 15 years, having two rigs in the Gladstone area for years, mainly doing water bores and geothermal bores.

We have gone out into the exploration drilling slowly building up our drilling fleet; all our rigs are mine spec and well maintained. All our rigs are track mounted, however can be truck mounted should they be required.

All rigs have coring capabilities. They have on-board air, the smallest being 900/350. They all have beam pumps, two have dump masks, and one has 2x5x6 mud pumps on board. Our drillers are all cert 3 or higher, and our offsiders are all cert 2. All our cars are BMA mine spec. The rigs vary in weight from 18 tons to 32 tons with pull back from ten tons to 35 ton.

We have been innovative with the company structured by inviting our key personal to investment in the company. Consequently, this has encouraged higher performance less down time of the rigs and has proved to be a catalyst in providing a good safety record and work methods.

Jim Crowson (a share holder in the company) of Crow Air Helicopters based in Rockhampton operates two Jet Ranger sand two Huey helicopters. For the ease of getting men and parts to the rigs in remote areas we have a close working relationship with Bay City engineering based in Hervey Bay providing design, Engineering, fabrication and the ongoing maintenance of our Rigs and associated equipment throughout Queensland.
