Successful applicants are required to make their own way to Toowoomba, where a company fleet of aircraft will transports them to and from the work site.

Mobile camp accommodation is provided, and conditions in these remote areas are advertised to be “very hot in summer and cold in winter”.

‘Fantastic career’

Wages are touted to be competitive and there is plenty of room for career advancement.

“Leasehand is the entry level position on our well servicing and drilling rigs, and is the starting point for a fantastic career as part of our rig crew,” the employer said on its website.

Applicants from Toowoomba, Roma, Dalby, Chinchilla, Biloela and Woorabinda are highly desirable.
