Hand Fatigue Impacts Productivity

Comfort is one of the first things people consider when selecting or trying on a work glove. Does it offer the needed dexterity, flexibility, tactility or cut protection, while retaining comfort? Gloves that offer more cut resistance are frequently more bulky, working against the other metrics which can lead to the compromise of protection for comfort.

This fatigue is similar to when your hand lifts and holds something over and over again. Why? Because it has to apply force and force needs energy. It is no different for workers whose hands are in use all day. With glove grip enhanced by just 5%, the dry lift increases from 24kg (bare hand) to 25.26kg (gloved hand). We are continually studying the dynamics and dimensions of the hand as the basis for creating our own hand moulds which are used in the coating process. During our patented coating process, our highly trained and skilled engineers regulate the thickness of the coating, assuring consistency across all parts of the glove where it is applied. We also strictly control how much of the coating is absorbed into the liner. Why is this important? It ensures that only the soft fibres on the inside of the glove come into contact with the wearer’s hand, improving their comfort.
