WA mine looking for a supervisor for its underground operations.
Your new role
- Monitor all aspects of safety within the underground work area and report on specific safety issues
- Management and Supervision of personnel performance, training and development
- Uphold operational standards and identify, resolve and communicate issues in a timely manner
- Achieve agreed performance goals in safety and production
- Actively promote adherence to the weekly schedule
- Maintain a professional work ethic, behaviours and values
- Ensure relevant documentation is completed in a timely and effective manner, to the agreed standard
- Strong communication skills and able to build relationships across all operational levels
- High level of organisational capability
- Flexible and adaptable
What you’ll need to succeed
- West Australian Shift Supervisor Certification
- Sound working knowledge of the WA Mining Safety Regulations
- Significant exposure to operational equipment and services (e.g. drills, boggers, jumbos, etc)
- Strong blend of production, drill & blast, ventilation
- Experience in long hole open stoping operations
- Knowledge and understanding of OH&S and duty of care
- National Police Clearance
- Unrestricted “C” class manual driver’s license
- Able to undertake manual handling tasks
- Intermediate MS Office knowledge
