WA mine looking for a supervisor for its underground operations.

Your new role

• Monitor all aspects of safety within the underground work area and report on specific safety issues
• Management and Supervision of personnel performance, training and development
• Uphold operational standards and identify, resolve and communicate issues in a timely manner
• Achieve agreed performance goals in safety and production
• Actively promote adherence to the weekly schedule
• Maintain a professional work ethic, behaviours and values
• Ensure relevant documentation is completed in a timely and effective manner, to the agreed standard
• Strong communication skills and able to build relationships across all operational levels
• High level of organisational capability
• Flexible and adaptable

What you’ll need to succeed

• West Australian Shift Supervisor Certification
• Sound working knowledge of the WA Mining Safety Regulations
• Significant exposure to operational equipment and services (e.g. drills, boggers, jumbos, etc)
• Strong blend of production, drill & blast, ventilation
• Experience in long hole open stoping operations
• Knowledge and understanding of OH&S and duty of care
• National Police Clearance
• Unrestricted “C” class manual driver’s license
• Able to undertake manual handling tasks
• Intermediate MS Office knowledge
