Director of the industry-led Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy (QMEA), Katrina-Lee Jones, has been invited to speak at one of the world’s largest mining investment events by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Ms Jones will introduce audiences at the Investing in African Mining, Indaba conference to QMEA’s successful industry-schools partnership model – a collaboration between the Queensland Resources Council, the Queensland Government and education and training providers.
QRC’s Oresome Resources online learning portal, recently adapted as a bilingual resource for Papua New Guinea, will also be promoted at the event.
Also speaking at the event will be former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, and Dr Ayo Ajayi from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Ms Jones will make her presentation tomorrow at the event being held in Cape Town, South Africa.
