A resources giant welcomed remote jobseekers to its Central Queensland coal operations in the Isaac region.

Fly-in fly-out (FIFO) applications will be accepted at Peabody Energy’s Coppabella Mine and Moorvale South Extension Project, 137km and 153km southwest of Mackay respectively.

The multinational proponent recently advertised multiple, full-time production operator vacancies at both mine sites.

Applicants can expect to operate the following machinery:

  • M8200 draglines
  • CAT D10 and D11T/R dozers
  • P&H 4100, 4100XPC shovels
  • CAT 16M/H and 24M graders
  • CAT 789, EH4000 and Liebherr T282 trucks
  • Hitachi 2500, 3600, 5500 and CAT6060 excavators.

Click here to apply. Successful candidates will be offered FIFO via Brisbane, company-paid buses between Mackay and mine sites, and drive-in drive-out options from Mackay or Rockhampton – or Townsville. Each shift last 12 hours and rosters rotate between day and night, with seven on seven off. Camp accommodation and meals are provided.

“[These are] two year, fixed-term positions with permanent opportunities,” Peabody said on the Seek website.
