Multiple mine operators are going on a recruitment drive in parts of central and northern Queensland.
Chandler Macleod confirmed a major resources client in the Bowen Basin is hiring multiple dump truck or multi-skilled mine operators in the Mackay and Bowen Basin area.
Even time roster
The ad on Adani Australia’s Regional Content Strategy website promises an even time roster, free camp and meals plus loyalty bonuses.
Applicants must have a high level of safety awareness and experience in operating CAT trucks, bulldozers, graders and excavators. Two work referees, a driver’s licence, passport or birth certificate is required.

Loyalty bonuses
Chandler Macleod is also looking for mining operators in the coal industry. The right people will be offered either a six or seven day on and equivalent day off roster, free camp and meals plus loyalty bonuses.
Mining services group UGM is hiring underground coal operators, electricians and fitters to work at Bis Industries’ Cook Colliery in Stewarton.
Applicants must have previous underground coal experience and trades or appointments relevant to position applied for. Locals and experience in place and change mining as well as a current Qld Standard 11 including the underground component Section 4 would be highly regarded.

Hi Timothy, Others who have responded to similar questions suggest registering with labour hire companies to get a foot in the door. Once you have some experience under your belt you can apply directly to work for the mining companies.
