A multinational company won a contract at a major mining operation.
Metso Corporation recently confirmed an equipment order at BHP’s Mount Whaleback mine, 448km south of Port Hedland.
The successful bidder will supply and install three high-capacity Nordberg maximum power (MP) series cone crushers before the end of 2023.
These units will replace existing “long-serving” MP cone crushers on-site, and are touted to have the “highest crushing force” on the market.
“The robust and high-capacity MP Series crushers are a step change in the crushing process, enabling maximum operator safety and easy maintenance, as the key components can be accessed from the top of the crushers,” Metso mining crushers vice president Vinicius Vilela said in a public statement.
“They provide a more sustainable solution, delivering high crushing force with relatively low energy-consumption.”
