Building Groundwater Knowledge With Aquifer Trial

Ian Hayllor in a video about groundwater knowledge being gained via aquifer testing

In an effort to improve community understanding,  groundwater flows between the Condamine Alluvium and the underlying Walloon Coal Measures in the Surat Basin are part of a major research trial.

Irrigator and GasFields Commissioner Ian Hayllor explains the project in a short YouTube video, discussing the aims of the trial which is being undertaken by the Office of Groundwater Impact Assessment (OGIA).

He also talks on some of the initial findings and the benefits of the research in improving knowledge on the subject for agriculture and the onshore gas industry in Queensland, and of the aquifer pump test trial which happened on his Dalby property.
