A coal producer is keen to lure remote employees to its mining operation in Central Queensland’s Isaac region.

One of Brunel Mining’s clients is offering lucrative financial incentives to suitable applicants for a variety of job vacancies.

Multiple truck drivers, multi-skilled operators and excavator operators are required for pre-strip and coal production at a Middlemount region coal mine.

The right candidates will be offered fly-in fly-out, bus-in bus-out (BIBO) or drive-in drive-out roster options. Work will be on either a temporary or permanent basis with company accommodation, meals and bus transport provided from Mackay, Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Bundaberg.

Workers can use salary sacrificing when paying for self-funded FIFO or, alternatively, use a free BIBO arrangement. An annual $6000 performance bonus is also available per person.

“Our client based in the Middlemount region has multiple roles to fill due to continuous growth of operational fleets working in the mine,” Brunel said on the Seek website.

“Earn up to $2900 per week, BIBO [is] provided … [and] multi-skilled [wages are] up to $135,000 per annum [and] excavator operators up to $150,000 per annum.”

  • The problem is there are few to no workers to hire, They need to pull their heads out the rear and look to new hires.

Frustrating with training and all I get that but many of us out here ready to go but with no experience get constantly looked over. They will continue to hire those that are willing to jump ship but will be back in the same position when another carrot gets dangled in front of them ..

    • Mate Don’t feel too bad, I have mining experience from operating dump trucks for 10.years to trainer assessor and then training Coordinator to safety health environment and training. I am sitting at home.

  • I am ready willing and able with a fantastic work ethic and job record. Unless you start hiring and training to break the shortage cycle it will never change.
    Just a thought!
