A coal operation will generously pay new recruits in Queensland’s Central Highlands region.
Multiple well-paid positions need to be filled at Coronado Global Resources’ Curragh North Mine in Blackwater, 209km west of Rockhampton.
The following job vacancies have been advertised:
- excavator operators, $80.34 an hour (multiple positions)
- multi-skilled operators, $74.19 an hour (multiple)
- dump truck operators, $67.03 an hour (multiple).
Click here to apply (search for Blackwater). Successful applicants will work 12-hour shifts with a rostered seven days on, seven days off. The company will provide weekly pay, superannuation, camp accommodation, meals and bus rides between the mine site, Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Mackay.
“Industry leading rates of pay are on offer for candidates,” the One Key Resources careers website said.
“These roles provide an opportunity to work with an industry leading mining contractor who have held a contract for overburden removal and haulage consecutively since 2004.”

When you say “new recruits”, does this mean people with no tickets? I have 8 years experience as a maintenance fitter in the coal seam gas industry but now want to drive a dump truck but cannot get a start anywhere in Qld? Would you give me a start?? Thanks.
