Inexperienced workers wanted for offshore Qld project

Queensland jobseekers will be paid, trained and qualified at a US$16 billion (A$23.4B) offshore development.

Multiple process operator roles were recently advertised at QGC’s and Santos’ Gladstone LNG Project on Curtis Island, 15km off the shore of Gladstone.

Starting in February 2023 paid training and a nationally accredited certificate III in process plant operations will be available at both the Gladstone and Curtis Island locations. No previous experience is necessary.

“Candidates will gain technical knowledge on hydrocarbon (natural gas) processing systems, develop skills to operate process facilities and build knowledge in process and occupational safety. Training will involve both on-the-job and classroom based learning, as well as ongoing support and mentoring throughout the program,” Programmed Skilled Workforce said on the Seek website.
