Cape Australia are currently seeking expressions of interest for a Contracts Administrator to support their Northern Territory operations.

The primary focus of the role is to take the lead on the review of existing contract compliance with regards to month end claim submissions and ongoing contracts administration duties including the award of new contracts. You will also bring a broad range of experience including commercial, contractual and financial skills that provide a bridge between operations and finance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initial Review of existing contract compliance with regards to month end claim submissions and ongoing with new awards.
  • Initial review of the claim process and tools used to generate claims
  • Provide coaching for team members responsible for the monthly billing process
  • Review and analysis of month end WIP and Cost Accruals
  • Preparation of quarterly forecasts and Annual budgets
  • Monthly analysis of performance v budget / forecast and summary of deviations
  • Period forecasts and identification of potential deviation from budget / forecast
  • Preparation of monthly reports for Project Manager in line with month end
  • Attendance at monthly reviews with Project Manager

 

You will have sound knowledge and experience of productivity, norms, efficiency and can relate this to a construction environment as well as the following:

  • 5+ years’ experience within a similar role ideally working as a Contracts Administrator for contracting companies within the resource sector across construction and major project environments
  • Relevant academic qualifications
  • Previous experience in the resources, mining and oil and gas sectors, ideally in Cape’s service line
  • Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Works well under time pressure and always deliver quality outcomes
  • Can work independently, grasp concepts and challenge data/process/systems/people to identify accurate information
  • Knowledge of ERP systems

Applicants who reside locally in Darwin will be highly regarded. However, we are willing to review candidates who reside interstate.
