A multinational employer won the contract for a large mining development.

Part of NRW Holdings recently secured a new tender at Pilbara Minerals’ Pilgangoora P680 Expansion Project.

Successful bidder Primero Group will perform structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation construction activities at the site’s crushing and ore sorting facilities.

The contractor will also commission, integrate and support shutdown efforts. QMEB can reveal the deal is worth about $64 million.

Primero was previously chosen for the formal early contractor involvement phase to determine construction methodology, cost and schedule.

Work is underway and expected to end sometime in the third quarter of 2024.

“We look forward to the successful completion of these works,” NRW managing director Jules Pemberton said in a public statement.
