A worker at BMA’s Blackwater Mine has been killed in a vehicle rollover incident this morning, involving a raptor transporter
According to the CQ News, Blackwater and Emerald police have arrived on site and are investigating the incident which is believed to have happened at 7.30am today.
A spokesperson for BMA has confirmed the death.
“BMA confirms there has been a vehicle rollover at our Blackwater Mine this morning. Emergency response teams are responding at present,” the spokesperson told the CQ News.
“As a precaution, operations on site have temporarily ceased. An investigation into the incident is underway and it has been reported to the Queensland Mines Inspectorate.”
The tragic fatality is the fourth death in Queensland mining since December last year.
