About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Production Services, the successful candidate will lead a Services crew to undertake the activities relating to water management, signs and cables at Mt Arthur Coal mine. This role offers daily challenges working with Production units to manage the required dewatering, signage and cabling in a large and complex environment. Additionally, this role supervises multiple services workgroups employed on a variety of rosters (e.g. Mon-Fri day work, 4 panel, 2 panel) further adding to the well-organised approach the role demands.

This role will work a 5-5-4 day shift 2 panel roster (e.g. 5 days on, 5 days off, 4 days on, etc.). Located in the lifestyle friendly Hunter Valley region, your previous experience in leading a team and building a positive workplace culture will see you well placed for success.

About you

You will have an unwavering commitment to safety and this will be clearly demonstrated throughout your prior experience. You will also have strong verbal communication and engagement skills and you will use your ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities on a daily basis. As the successful applicant you will also have:

  • Experience leading a team and working in a supervisory capacity;
  • Understanding of an open cut mining environment;
  • Exposure to large pumping installations and associated dewatering activity;
  • A basic working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Previous exposure to cable handling in an open cut mining environment is beneficial;
  • A current New South Wales Open Cut Examiner practicing certificate is beneficial;
  • An understanding of SAP and Citec systems is also ideal.
