A multinational resources company is prepared to recruit anyone, even if they have no relevant employment or education history.

Anglo American is hiring full-time mechanical apprentices at its Moranbah North Coal Mine, 211km southwest of Mackay.

These entry-level positions require no previous industry experience or qualifications. Company paid training is provided offsite and a nationally accredited certificate will be presented on successful completion.

The role is for a fixed four-year term after which there is potential to move to a permanent position. No proof of coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination is required.

“We strongly encouraged employees to get vaccinated. However, based on the latest specialist medical advice, vaccination is not currently a condition of entry to a metallurgical coal managed operation or the Anglo American Brisbane corporate office,” the proponent said on the Seek website.
