A hard rock underground mining company wants to hear from Queenslanders who are interested in working for a remote mine.
A subsidiary of Perenti Group launched a major recruitment drive in both the southeast and northern regions to fill several fly-in fly-out (FIFO) job vacancies.

Barminco will meet with as many jobseekers as possible at its careers roadshow in Townsville (24-25 June 2021) and Brisbane (June 28-29).
The employer confirmed it definitely wants to hear from “you” if interested in underground operation, heavy duty maintenance, truck operation and entry-level nipper work at Kununurra, about 917km northeast of Broome.

Successful applicants will be offered a permanent full-time FIFO roster, “competitive” hourly rates, 10.25 per cent superannuation, relocation benefits, discounted airport parking, corporate health insurance, income protection insurance, and work-related laptop and tablet discounts.
4300 workers expected
“[Simply] apply and our team will contact you to make an appointment to meet with team at either of the above locations,” the company said on the SEEK website.
“With new projects forecasted, this will see Barminco and African Underground Mining Services grow to more than 4300 workers in 2021.”
