FMR Investments Pty Ltd owns and operates the Eloise Copper Mine located 70km south east of Cloncurry in North West Queensland. Eloise is an underground mining operation processing 720,000 tonnes of ore, producing a copper concentrate which is transported to Townsville for shipment. FMR Investments are currently seeking to employ a suitably qualified OHS&T coordinator for the Eloise Copper Mine.
Reporting to the OHS&T superintendent the role involves:
Conducting inductions and site inspections
Coordination of training and assessing of employees in the use of Underground equipment and performing Underground tasks.
Accident/Incident investigations and various other tasks directed by the OHS&T superintendent.
Ensuring sites compliance with the safety management system and annual Safety Plan
Reviewing the Site safety management plan.
Conducting and attending safety meetings.
Conducting and reviewing risk assessments.
Scheduling relevant training for supervisors and employees.
Conducting mine rescue training
Advanced First aid duties as required
Minimum qualifications:
Current Australian Drivers License
Workplace Assessors Certificate, Cert 4 or equivalent.
Cert IV in OHS or working towards.
Cert IV in Emergency Medical Response
Cert IV in Health Care (Ambulance)
A minimum of two years exposure to the Underground Mining Industry would be advantageous.
The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills
Trained in ICAM Incident investigation or similar
